I've been stitching since my Grandma taught me to hold a needle at 5. A wonderful teacher in 1975 taught me cross stitch and I truly became addicted to it while pregnant with John (who is now 16 and a rock god). I remember frantically trying to finish a border on a project in the delivery room with Harry (who is now 11). Since discovering the online groups of stitchers my obsession, WIPs, Stash, Wish List, aquisitions have grown. Although I love samplers of all types, I have many non-samplers stitched and kitted.
I've been married since 1987 to Martin who almost understands this obsession. My other hobby is collecting pink depression glass from the 1930s.
